About Me
Grew up in Chelsea, Masschusetts and joined the US Navy in
January of 1966. Served in the Navy as an Aviation Electronics
Technician and aircrewman until 1972 where I was attached to VP, VR
, A-4 and F-4 squadrons.
After my tour with the Navy I was recruited into the Army as a
commo chief at first, then a squad leader, acting platoon sergeant,
training NCO, Unit Administrator, worked as a supply sergeant,
instructor for the NCO and Military Academy.
I received experience as a 1st Sergeant when our 1st Sergeant was
injured during a field exercise. He placed me in command in his
position until he could return for duty. It was an experience I'll
never forget. The thought that he felt he could trust me with his
responsabilities and that I would carry them out without question
gave me a sense of honor.
Worked in Broadcasting in New Hampshire, Tennessee and Texas.
Developed my computer skills while working on an environmental
project for International Paper.
While in Dallas, I did work in the telecom industry for companies
such as MCI, Nortel and Verizon. Then moved to Milwaukee with my
partner of one year where I took a job managing IT for a local
clinic.
Here is where along with a few other veterans we formed the first
LGBT Veterans Organization in the Milwaukee area.
Founder and chairman of the board for No Veteran Left Behind USA, Inc. Still giving my time in helping veterans today.
Work also as staff and one of the supervisors for Healing Warrior Hearts. A retreat program for healing from PTSD, MST, and also couples and LGBTQ+ retreats.
